This is a test designed to measure a secondary school student's reasoning skills. It is usually a requirement for some international universities, especially in the U.S. SAT measures mathematical and verbal reasoning skills, as well as critical writing skills.
There are two types of the SAT which are;
SAT General Tests
SAT Subject Tests


Where and When can one take the SAT?

The SAT is usually offered several times a year in many authorized centres. Deadline for registration is usually two months before the test date. Find a list of the test centres and that offer SAT testing here

Scoring

Score reports can be accessed about three weeks after the test. You will receive it through mail from the United States. However, if you need score reports to be sent to institutions, you can do so through the SAT website, but will be asked to pay a fee. SAT Subject Tests: the tests are designed in subject-specific ways where you can choose the test that best shows your strengths and interests. There are 20 SAT Subject Tests which are:

Maths Level 1 Maths Level 2 Science Biology E/M
Chemistry Physics English Language History
Spanish Spanish with listening French French with English
Chinese with listening Italian German German with listening
Modern Hebrew Latin Japanese with listening Korean with listening


What to Note

Each Subject Test is an hour long. They are all multiple-choice and scored on a 200-800 scale. SAT Subject Tests are generally given six times in a given school year, on the same days and in the same test centres as the SAT - but not all 20 tests are offered on every SAT date.
You can't take the SAT and an SAT Subject Test on the same day.
Some SAT Subject Tests require you to bring special equipment - for example, CD players for Language with Listening tests. The Language with Listening tests are only offered in November.
We offer proctored test sessions which are simulations of the real tests. All proctors are 99.9 percentile scorers. Enrol in our proctored sessions to prepare for the SAT exam. Note that a diagnostic test is required preceding registration for any of these courses.
� Arrive at the test centre 30 minutes before the testing time.
� Take your test confirmation information along.
� Take along a photo-bearing identification.
